Excia T Standard Hip Stem System

The Excia T Standard Hip Stem has been designed to accurately restore joint biomechanics and address the growing demand for bone conservation.

The System:

  • The Excia T System is available with either forged cobalt chrome for cemented indications or forged titanium alloy material with a circumferential, proximal titanium plasma spray for pressfit fixation.
  • CCD angle options of 128° and 135° address various femur types to properly restore joint biomechanics and soft tissue tension without lengthening the leg.
  • A rounded shoulder design curves away from the greater trochanter, facilitating insertion through all approaches, including minimally invasive. 

Proximal flanges combined with the dual taper-design to ensure high primary stability. 

Excia T Anchoring

Standard and lateralized offset options address various femur types to properly restore joint biomechanics and soft tissue tension without lengthening the leg.

Excia T Anatomic Accuracy

 

A minimal rounded shoulder design decreases disruption of the greater trochanter.

Excia T Preservation

The Plasmapore® coating technology is a microporous Ti-plasma rough coating. The enhanced surface encourages biological fixation through osseointegration to ensure long-term survivorship. Aesculap has been applying Plasmapore technology to orthopaedic implants for over 25 years.*
